🌱 CO₂ you can reduce through small actions
※ Estimated using publicly available datasets
01 Lighten your luggage
Reducing your luggage by just 1kg slightly lowers aircraft weight and improves fuel efficiency.
A small change per person, but powerful when many people do it.
02 Choose online meetings when possible
A single round-trip international flight often emits several hundred kg to 1 ton of CO₂ per passenger.
If a trip can be replaced with an online meeting, the flight itself disappears.
03 Choose direct flights & eco-friendly options
Choosing direct flights or airlines using SAF is a quiet but meaningful vote.
These choices collectively encourage industry-wide innovation.
✈️ Aviation is also trying to decarbonize

Flying is not “bad.” The aviation industry is aiming for net-zero by 2050.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
Fuel made from waste oil and bio-resources that can reduce lifecycle CO₂ emissions dramatically.
Still limited and expensive, but governments and airlines are rapidly investing in it.
New aircraft and efficiency improvements
New aircraft like the A320neo or B787 improve fuel efficiency by 15–25%.
Lighter materials, efficient engines, and wing improvements all add up.
Operational efficiency & global policy
More direct routes and optimal cruising altitudes reduce unnecessary fuel burn.
CORSIA requires airlines to monitor, report, and offset emissions.
💬 Why I made this site

Air travel connects people, cultures, and businesses across long distances. I don’t believe that “flying is bad.” I myself have benefited from it through work and family travel.

But at every moment, massive amounts of fuel are being burned in the sky. It is necessary for society, yet we almost never feel its scale in daily life. I wanted a way to *see* what is happening in the sky right now—so this site began.

The goal is not to shock you with big numbers. Instead, I hope it sparks the question: “What small action can *I* take?” Lighter luggage, choosing online meetings, selecting airlines with sustainability programs—each is small alone, but together they create change.

As a parent of two young children, I’m increasingly worried about the extreme heat and unusual weather. “Will my kids still have a world where it’s safe to play outside when they grow up?” That question never leaves my mind.

Climate change feels overwhelming, and individual power seems small. Yet choosing small actions again and again *is* a meaningful step toward the future.

This site is not about “stop flying.” It’s a dashboard to help us think about how to live with aviation while facing the climate crisis. Small choices, accumulated over time, will change the sky of the future.

More than anything, I want to leave a better future for my children. That feeling is why I made this site.
